The problem is anytime you talk about ways to moderate content (which is what filtering algorithms are) people on Nostr yell âCENSORSHIPâ and the conversation goes nowhere.
People need to realize that bottom-up content moderation isnât censorship.
Case and point is the PR for âNIP-69â which simply defines a standardized vocabulary for NIP-36 & NIP-56 and people are pushing back on it. They openly say it worries them, but canât describe exactly what the problem is. Thatâs just fear. If they give it some thought theyâll see bottom-up isnât censorshipâŠ
