JSON is slow, Protobuf is full of crap design decisions, ugh

JSON can be made fast. Protobuf cannot be made less dumb

I am tempted to just do my own TLV format at this point.

I am encoding individual elements.

[,,,] is larger but fast to parse, easier to debug, and requires no special parser

when you compress them in quantity, "[,," ends up being one token
