Bitcoin has potential to obsolete large governments and central banking while ushering in a new age of sovereignty to individuals
I have heard arguments that bitcoin could bring a new at least somewhat borderless world
Most societies / cities will want people to voluntarily choose to be there or they simply wont visit or live there
And bitcoin being incorruptible, people will be able to verify their identity and through things like webs of trust.
Combined with other technology advancements there can be voluntary vetting and less opportunity for violence with most individuals storing their wealth in bitcoin (outside the physical realm (through remembering 12 words)).
Bitcoin could bring a more peaceful, prosperous world with all prices falling to the marginal cost of production (getting cheaper for everyone forever) for everyone on the planet
