My computer science degree (from long ago) has served me very well, even though I’ve always been a “suit.” A grounding in the fundamentals usually does. Similarly, engineers are generally good at solving problems, a skill that never goes out of favor.

I tend to think “management” is more likely valuable as being able to read a P&L and developing leadership skills. But then, the idea of higher ed could be radically different in a decade.
