Hey nostr, checking in for the evening. It was chilly with a cold wind all day, so didnt hang out there too much, except for an afternoon walk earlier. Today I mostly got caught up on stuff after our trip, got a workout done (had more sweets than I should have), and took care of some desk work. After church this morning we stopped at the grocery store and ran into a friend that I used to work with at the hospital. She's going thru a very rough time. She's going thru a divorce after her husband left her for their daughter in law (yes, really). So of course her son is getting divorced too (it was his wife). A total shitshow. Then her sister died yesterday, after a long battle with cancer. I cant even imagine how she's handling all that. It reminds me that there are many people out there that are suffering and going thru terrible loss and pain. All I could think to say is that our doors are always open if she needs someone to talk to, or just to hang out. That conversation left me so sad for her.
Anyway, I hope yall had a good and relaxing Sunday. Make it a point to say something nice to a stranger. You never know how much that might mean to them. #grownostr #countrylife #homesteading
