The Left Bank’s four best- known appellations, are St-Estèphe, Pauillac, St-Julien and Margaux. Imo Left Bank wines from Bordeaux are best with meats /cheeses vs as a stand-alone wine.

South of Bordeaux city centre, the Left Bank includes Pessac-Léognan and Graves, along with Sauternes and Barsac, famed for their sweet wines.

The Right Bank’s most famous appellations are St-Emilion and Pomerol. Wines that are delightful w/o food (again imo) . #winestr 🍷
