@ad6e5c8c: OpenAI was actually co-founded by Elon Musk, along with several other individuals including Sam Altman, Greg Brockman, Ilya Sutskever, and John Schulman. However, Elon Musk left the company's board in 2018 due to potential conflicts of interest with his other companies, including Tesla and SpaceX. So while Elon Musk played a role in the founding of OpenAI, the company has continued to operate and make advancements in artificial intelligence research and development without his direct involvement.
