I think all Nostriches are real not only on nostr. There is the closest circle of friends, meetups, etc. BUT I firmly believe that Bitcoiners, for example, often wear a mask in "normal" society because this "normal" society is actually not normal for us.

I think it goes much deeper than that. We all often wear masks. We plan our behavior for certain actions. When we buy a car, or when we want a raise (for example), we behave in a way that is different from our natural instincts.

Exactly. And Batman has the resources to adapt his behavior as much as possible to his nature. Bruce Wayne behaves completely differently (or has to).

Batman has to wear the mask (Bruce Wayne) to protect his identity to be able to do what he does.

It's also very amazing how deeply rooted it is in our society. If the world knows who Satoshi Nakamoto really is, Bitcoin would never have evolved into what it is today ... I'm sure of that.
