How do you get Jack Spirko to recommend a tac light that uses CR123 batteries? Give me one with the option to still use AAs. Really? Yep check this one out.
I personally like the AA lights that can use rechargeable 14500, 3.6V 800mAh. Super bright on high, but lasts a long time on lower settings. If you use regular AA, it's not as bright or lasts as long, but like you say you can find them anywhere. Though I do still have my cr123a that I keep in the car. It's over 10 years old and still going strong.
