I don't use X. I go there. Look for what I'm looking for or post my specific thing and then I peace out. I just wanted to reasd about CSW and his failures 😂 Thankfully nostr:npub1cjw49ftnxene9wdxujz3tp7zspp0kf862cjud4nm3j2usag6eg2smwj2rh has some brief updates here.
My entire feed there is just my Nostr posts, so any of my followers who are there know I’m alive and not missing much.
I stopped using the cross poster because I don't like how all content contains images of the text. It just doesn't look good seeing the text and an image of the text.

The formatting comes from two places, one the cross posting service: https://github.com/planetary-social/nos-crossposting-service And then the njump software’s OpenGraph rendering: https://github.com/fiatjaf/njump
We’d love PR’s and contributions updating how the cross posting service works, and I know that nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 accepts PR’s for njump, I’ve contributed tiny bits myself.
The reason we moved the url to connect.nos.social is I think this service could grow to connect to other things beyond X.
The only way to use Twitter now is to use Tweetdeck, which requires a subscription. It's been the most efficient way since the beginning of Tweetdeck, but is an absolute must now. Whether it's worth the money or not... probably no.

same and it's annoying as all hell. if my firearm people were on nostr X would 100% get the trash treatment. I'm trying to #grownostr with #Gunstr as my focus.
Once the signal gets big enough I can fully rid myself of X.
I'm only a gun guy because I'm a liberty guy (also guns are cool)

Looking at the real-time posts on Nostr is eh mostly bots and rehashing the same Bitcoin noise over and over and over. It’s tough to say it’s better.
Best way is to curate your feed, regardless of platform.
