Lovely, relaxed day. Went for lunch at a fancy restaurant and then shopping for rings.

When we first went to jewellers a couple of weeks ago they said, due to my big hands (they’re very normal imo) I’d have to wait a couple of weeks but we scoured the little indie jewellers and lo and behold, they came up with the goods.

Just a nice, slow, easy day together :)

I guess some people might get stuff like that months in advance but we’re a little haphazard when it comes to planning.

Most importantly she said I do and was very happy!

I started reading that and thought WTF😳😳😳😳, Ha ha. That's certainly very laid back with the lateness of the ring thing. My kind of vibe, fuck it🤷🏻‍♂️.

Glad you had a good day and I wish you many years of happy marriage. I myself, have never been married. I've been engaged 3 times but have never managed to quite get it over the line. I've done the "Thingie" that you've done years ago (I'm talking your nym here) and I'm certainly an "I" probably a "N" and possibly a P and C too boot but I can't quite remember. I'm deffo an I something or other though.

Additionally, I very much value my own space. Had 3 longish term relationships but I just can't "Live" in the same house as someone else so that pretty much rules out marriage for me. I'm at peace with that though. I'm a few years off 50 yet so the best I can hope for is to meet a divorcee of a similar age who has her own house, likes nice restaurants a few times a week and is a globe trotter.

Well fuck me, I didn't think I'd be unburdening myself like this but there you go. You'll now be able to give me a character reference if ever I need one😂😂😂😂. (I Won't need one, I retired 2 months ago🥳) Your wife have a sister🤔😂?

We try to get organised but I struggle with anything more than 2 weeks away, it could be 500 years in the future as far as my brain goes.

Took me a long time to find the one, I’d assumed I was much like yourself till then.

Interesting about the nym. It started as a joke that I’m Not Phil Collins. Good to know you’re not either! My Fedi instance has a lot of Phil Collins emojis ranging from Good Phil (drummer in the 70s) through to Bad Phil, Grumpy Phil as his music got progressively worse over the years.

I also have a thing about CR78 drum machines… I wanted to use another name at first but it was already taken by some other musician.

I produce #Techno so the original machines that interest me are the TR808 AND TR909. They now cost THOUSANDS of pounds each. You can get an exact digital copy (Which I use, for literally a few pounds) but it's not the same is it😬😂.

There’s something about having the real thing… plus they double up as a pension fund! I have an original ARP Odessey from the year I was born, absolutely love it, needs a service though.
