Interesting point and often overlooked - mining Bitcoin is the only way of acquiring it without directly moving market price.

Exactly.. let's imagine Russia for absurd. Considering they energetic supply, they can mine for free almost. Would be naïve thinking they are not dojng some tests at least.. even easier.. they could let privates mine, then force them to cease their Bitcoins. And I think not much can save yourself if you are a private amd have a mining business there 😅
