The first time Trump was president around 1 in 5 healthcare workers ended up leaving healthcare because of the way Trump and his people spread medical misinformation and made it generally more difficult for healthcare workers to work.

I expect even more people will leave now, which probably will be relevant everywhere except in major cities because there’s already a shortage of healthcare workers in non-major cities.

Also we can hope that there’s not another pandemic for Trump’s people to bungle the US response to again 🤞🏽

The people voted for Trump. I did not, but I say, give them MAGA, good and hard. They deserve it.

Well it will impact the whole country if there is another pandemic, RFK Jr is already saying he will cut funding for infectious diseases. I’m not sure how people forgot part of the reason we had a massive pandemic in 2020 is because Trump’s administration cut funding for public health for the 3 years prior.

Last November, according to NBC News, Kennedy told an antivaccine group, “I’m gonna say to NIH scientists, ‘God bless you all. Thank you for public service. We’re going to give infectious disease a break for about eight years.’”

As if infectious diseases are going to give us a break if we stop researching them 🙄
