China isn't evidence of what people can do despite government, it shows what authoritarian dictatorships can accomplish on the backs of millions of dead people and oppression.

Success?

Chinese citizens are debt free, at like $20 000 pp.

Americans are in debt at like $123 000 pp.

Chinese citizen consensus shows us that they actually have hope for the future, as in purchasing power, travel, buying a home, going to school. Quality of life has drastically improved.

Just ironic to complain when no other country in history has achieved that level of turnaround.

Truth, Deng's PRC had the longest sustained double-digit annual economic growth in history. (USSR 1950s and 60s is second.)

But anything built on Statism is a disaster waiting to happen. Look at the West...
