Green energy adoption? Why would anyone use the most expensive kind of electricity for any high-energy, quasi-industrial concern like hashing?

Other than that, yes it's a tragedy, and yes, more decentralization is more better.

Bitcoin incentivizes the use of energy that would otherwise be wasted. Capturing that energy makes any production more efficient and in turn, more "green".

Fully agree, if "green" means efficient, then I can clearly see the incentive.
