I imagine there will be a good collective of people like you and me that will consider relocating to be geographically closer to each other as things progress (or regress) towards a mass survalence state. The Amish have been living this way for quite some time and actually thrive by some metrics. I think there's a healthy middle ground between ultra advanced mass surveillance state and the Amish of course. You don't have to stop using tech completely.
