On February 17, 2025, Delta Air Lines Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport, flipping upside down upon landing. The flight crew consisted of Captain James Henneman and First Officer Kendal Swanson. Captain Henneman managed communications during the approach, while First Officer Swanson, 26, who had completed her training in April 2024 with fewer than 1,500 flight hours, is believed to have been piloting during the landing. The incident occurred amid challenging weather conditions, including strong crosswinds and snow. All 80 individuals on board survived, though 21 passengers sustained injuries. Investigations by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.
