It was group desicion of whole team and investors.
We are planning to have business model that is not suitable for open-source. We know that can be an issue for some users and we are planning view-only login in plebstr and also seperate event-signer that will be open source.
Also not being open source is not something that cant change in the future.
can you tell more about your business model? i think there are going to be great businesses to be built in the nostr ecosystem, but i have a tough time imagining a closed source client win when all the competition is open
We are still tweaking it to suit Nostr ecosystem the best.
We started with Tweetoshi (Twitter client with BTC integration) and we shared our ad revenue with users - every day you got sats for using the app. We want to try something similar here with Plebstr - I talked about it at Nostrica: 05:20:00 🤙
