Agreed, but I wouldn't rely on DMs on a platform that is intended to be distributed anyways, too many drawbacks.
Signal or Threema are excellent options for that, don't need Nostr to replace that functionality IMO.
Signal dependency on mobile phone numbers is a bummer, though.

Is Keet on mobile usable? I've heard bad things.
Not a problem for privacy, but not ideal for anonymity if desired/required.
Well, your identity is an important thing to be able to keep private, imo.
