In a nutshell, it’s the view that most of the prophecies in Matthew 24, Revelation, and other eschatological passages were fulfilled in AD 70 with the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, but that Christ’s second coming, the final resurrection, and the final judgment are still future events.

As compared to full preterism which claims all prophecy, including the second coming, was fulfilled by AD 70. This is considered heretical by “most” Reformed Christians
