Twice today I've been given unsolicited advice from customers, who know nothing about my Bitcoin, that I should be buying XRP. What does it mean?

It means you've got some pretty shitty customers.
Same experience over here. Curious why that is. Where did they found out that that shit existed and why would they want to buy i? The argument I've got is that some influencer talked them into it... What's your take?
