In the beginning, God created X1,...,Xn independent and identically distributed random variables. 🥵

On the first day, He created sufficient and complete statistics. 💪

On the second day, He created Unbiased Minimum Variance Unique Estimators and Mean Squared Error. ♥️

On the third day, He created hypothesis testing. 🤤

On the fourth day, He created interval estimation. 😤

On the fifth day, He created Ordinary Least Squares and Linear regression. 🤓

On the sixth day, He created Bayes law and all the devilish principles that came thereafter. 👎

On the seventh day, God rested, because statistics is exhausting. 😴

What is your thesis on?

Multiple change point detection with application in detecting copy number variation in genetic array data

mainly focused on the statistics/computation side of things

V cool. Are these the dna microarray plates? Looking for for instance brca genes. Or am i way off? Lol

you're totally right. these techniques have been used to find germline copy number variations in brca. lots of other techniques work too. I'm mainly researching an algorithm called SaRa, the screening and ranking algorithm. hoping to find some inspiration for new methodologies

Nice! I am excited to hear what you come up with. Keep me in the loop!

you got it! I'll keep ya apprised
