Doesn’t Pubky follow the same pattern around relay servers that Nostr does? Meaning the servers are dumb and easy to spin up?

No. Pubky uses a different model because you do not need nostr-style relays if you have PKDNS.

Wouldn’t that mean that Pubky would be able to be *more* censorship resistant than Nostr? If so, why is the compliance issue a big deal when Pubky would make it easier to distribute content?
