What would be the upside of that? The identity? Because Nostr isn't very good at that.

1. Not relying on just one single email server. Could have a few to ensure maximum uptime and reach.

2. Identity not linked to just one email server.

But yeah there could be improvements to 2… but how do we improve 2 while still getting benefit of 1

It’s an app. I don’t think they are trying to necessarily make a full general purpose protocol
