Pelargoniums are pretty hardcore plants if you know how to treat them . They can survive most things except a killing frost. My winter preparation for them now is pull them out and throw them in a bucket until I can be bother to deal with them again.

I used to pot them up nicely and water them just once in the winter but an ex employee managed to kill them all through overwatering them, leading to mold and mildew. This bucket method under the table takes up way less space and pots and you don't really need to worry about water either, it's just good to check them occasionally before they completely dry out like the one in photo which came out the ground with no soil at all!

All you need to do is cut the dead bits off and replant them and they will happy for the new season and you can even make more cuttings of them too. Money and effort saved and I can resell them as most people will re buy them every year 🙂
