If a guy has an unattractive face, like 75% of the time he can fix it with a beard.

That’s why a lot of guys in their 50s and 60s end up looking better than they did in their 30s and 40s- they grow a beard.

I saw an old politician on a news clip yesterday and didn’t even recognize him at first because he had a beard. Looked better than he did decades ago. Happens almost every time.

I personally think Adam Scott (the actor) is a perfect example of this. Looks much better with beard than without. Your theory holds up.

Once he hit his 40s, yeah. Earlier he was in the phase where it can go either way.

If a guy has an unusually strong jaw (eg Brad Pitt), then the age with which it can go either way tends to be greatly extended.
