People who insist that you shouldn’t be pseudo/anonymous online desire at some level to have the option, should they feel the need arises, to attack you on the basis of something other than your ideas. Maybe they will point out their “superior” education, financial status, life achievements, or something else that they feel should give them extra credit in discussions. It’s an elitist point of view.
