This one is a single ply superwash merino wool. And so yummy and squishy π. I frequently use acrylic yarns though, they've come a long way as far as softness and durability.
Single ply means one strand of fiber vs plied yarns having multiple strands twisted together.
Superwash is a treatment to remove the scales and keep the fibers from felting together with agitation.
Now you know a little bit about yarn π€£π€£
Super wash merino wool sounds dreamy. If you accidentally make two and need to sell one, lmk π€
π It's the best of both worlds, it's wool that you can (sort of) treat like acrylic. Although I always hand wash and air dry.
I'm working my courage up to be like Karo and make things to sell...I'm getting there with a commission here and there, but would love to knit up some crazy hats that I have patterns for but no winter to wear them πβΉοΈ.
What are these patterns of which you speak? π§ chunky beanies or?
They have gorgeous textures πππ I've made 2 in sock yarn (very light for the "winters" we have) because it's pretty easy to substitute whatever yarn you want, so they could be... Wanded knit and crochet/Jenny Noto is the pattern designer that most of my hat patterns came from and she loves to use big fat chunky yarns.
