Fired a client today. It was an expensive lesson in dealing with an entitled wealthy ego masquerading as a non-profit. Easily one of the worst people I’ve ever worked with professionally. Looking forward to this bridge being burned.

I work without a contract. Normally, I am better than this at judging people and knowing what work to avoid and it has nearly always served me well. I’ve only had to fire one other client, but even that ended amicably.
In my decade as a consultant, I’ve never had to take legal action against any client, nor have I ever had anyone threaten me with litigation and defamation. Until today.
