Imagine it’s 2147. The last Bitcoin block has been mined. And you, and everyone else working in Bitcoin are all dead. When the people living in the glorious Bitcoin future look back on you, if you’re even remembered at all, what will they say about your legacy?
If you have anything to do with ”Ordinals” you will be looked upon with scorn and contempt. What you did was put an irrevocable technical burden on all future generations, who have to carry your monkey images around forever. Disgusting.
In history and ethics lessons, they will look at NFT “Ordinal” images and be totally perplexed at how anyone could think this was a worthwhile and ethical use of the scarce resource that Bitcoin is, and how they could burden future men and women with something so manifestly trivial and selfish.
And what will they say about you? If you are Ben Lasky, they will put you in the same category as the authors of Jim Crow and Miscegenation laws, of Communists, and Apartheid. Your photo will be in the gallery of evil men in history, between Pol Pot and Stalin.
And all the hangers on and cowards who believed in the State will be in the “also ran” classification as Petit Statist, Petit-Banquier, Crony Capitalist, who couldn’t code, wouldn’t invest and should’ve known better.
You people need to stop and think. Think about the future, about what your legacy will be and how you can actually help other people, rather than satisfy your base urges to ruin, control and destroy.
It’s hard to predict who the people living today are that have secured their place in history. The obvious ones always come to mind, but there are some who are so important, so obviously key figures in shaping the future, that it’s easy to spot them today. It’s also easy to say they’ll be remembered because history will not be told by the class of people tasked with preserving snd disseminating the truth in 2023 (government schools and “Mainstreal Media”).
President Nayib Bukele is someone who almost certainly will be remembered; he took the first step into the future with a bold vision very few had, but which turned out to be right. His will be a textbook story of risk taking and future oriented thinking; the exact opposite of the “Ordinals” pushers and incomprehensible creatures like Hillary Rodham Clinton and other “Democrats” who deny math and reality.
The future is coming. It’s hard to predict the specifics in most cases, especially when it comes to the effects of something like Bitcoin, which will touch everything. But you can be sure of some parts of it. A single Bitcoin is going to worth a Manhattan city block. Everyone will use Bitcoin, no one will question it. Its detractors will be dead, buried and discredited.
Don’t make the mistake of betting against Bitcoin, polluting it for giggles, trying to regulate it, “for the good of everyone”, and bringing your filthy Statism with you into the future.
The future doesn’t want or need your filth.
