i think it could be a touch darker but getting rid of the sheer mass of outlines pleased me.

i'm not a fan of outlines. i think they should be either low contrast except when they perform the function of highlighting, and even for that i prefer brighter/darker backgrounds instead of using outlines.

my typography eyes say "lines mean errors"

Yup. Never understood the outlines thing.

Tho I do have tons of dividers in my stuff 😅

they can be ok for section boundaries, especially going under the header or above it but you should try to avoid making them as high contrast as the text or they interfere with reading.

obviously this isn't so relevant if your talking about print but on screen it's just ugly. in print you can also make the lines thin which has the similar visual effect as low contrast.

yeah, they should only be used as attention grabbers but even then a contrasting color is more pleasing to look at
