this is an issue i want to ultimately deal with for #orly - specifically to prevent deleting of the directory event kinds, not just follow lists but mute lists, relay lists and some others i can't recall. what does my code say a "directory" event is:

ProfileMetadata,

FollowList,

EventDeletion,

Reporting,

RelayListMetadata,

MuteList,

DMRelaysList,

all of these are events that can get clobbered by updates that you might want to reverse. you need to take the event content and generate a new event out of it tho
