I’m not upset.

Just a little amazed these people exist and would like to counter their bullshit and expose them for the hateful frauds they are

Many hate and many of them have reason to hate. We also all do our own form of bullshit! I think that might be something I find fascinating on nostr. As someone who's been through racism and stuff, I really am not that bothered at all. I just follow people, ignore the things I don't agree with and look for the positive sides in people

I mean to each their own and I agree this is what I love about Nostr. Let them shout into the abyss but I also am not going to ignore it and give them a pass

Last time they were given a pass they murdered 6 million people

These people are trying to rewrite history and if we allow them to do so it could happen again

This is not twitter. Let it go.

Did you not read my note? Lol

Letting it go is very dangerous and a slippery slope. You can ignore me and block me but I am not going to be quiet about these shitheads

Your notes, going back and forth noisily appear on my timeline and the timelines of others that you follow.

It will turn people off, just be aware

I mean that’s fair and I am sorry if I am being noisy on peoples timelines. If calling out hateful rhetoric and propaganda turns people off they can block/mute me

For what it’s worth I’m not searching these people out and trying to create issues

I saw a post on my timeline claiming Israel was a terrorist state so I corrected them that Hamas are the terrorists and ended up stepping in a pile of nazi shit

I'm afraid everyone rewrites history sir and we are unlikely to have a terribly coherent version that reflects the truth 100% anywhere. I would suggest considering a few things, Gandhi was a absolute racist and he's still revered for demonstrating the power of unarmed protest. Although his actions may have been slightly misguided and mistimed, the impact was very profound.

With regards to murder, when Madeleign Albright was asked for comment on reports that the US military had killed 500,000 children in Iraq, she responded with "It was worth it"

When I still used other social media, I remember watching some things pass my feeds from friends in the arabic world. They were memes or graphical posts about USA and UK. Not very different from anything on the threads we are discussing. Just a thought

I mean I don’t expect everyone to have the same beliefs but there are some things that should not be up for debate.

Claiming hitler wasn’t the bad guy during world war 2 needs to be disputed and called out.

People in the Arab world have a reason to hate America and the UK. We have done bad things over there and caused immense damage to benefit our own societies (e.g., overthrowing governments for oil or control of other rare minerals)

The beauty of this network is we can get information out there and let people educate themselves to determine how they want to live their lives.
