We need an easier way for people to back up private keys. Is there a way it can work similar to a hot wallet. And have a list of 12 words vs a string of characters. I am fine with how it is, but we need to work towards making things more user friendly for people less tech savvy. I think this is the main goal, is to make things easy enough for a dummy to use it.

There's fiatjaf's nos2x plugin which works well. https://github.com/fiatjaf/nos2x You can put your own nsec/pk in there. Signing messasges from a hardware wallet would be a bit of a manual chore, but you could do it if you know how to format and broadcast a raw nostr note.
