I have to make a point to get to one of the Edmonton Bitcoin meetups too, even though that is still some distance away for me. It’s hard to find time with work etc.

It’d be nice to establish a few tight enough relationships with good old boys in the province that even if a guy wanted to buy or sell some sats off exchange, he could leverage the fact that we as Canadians have access to the Interac e-transfer system.

I’ve tried setting up a few meetups locally but haven’t had any response. And I just don’t feel like doing a subscription to Orange Pill App to find out there’s still no one local.

There’s been a few prospects on nostr but the nature of some of their posts were red flags. I don’t really need any weirdos or shitcoiners in my life lol.
