NFTに何の価値があるのかわからない。日本ではスポーツ選手のスーパープレー動画のNFTが売られています。スポーツ選手のスーパープレーはYouTubeで無料で無限に見れます。
NFTs are still dumb. But storing immutable bits of information is interesting. I think this will open up usecases in the future that we cant foresee now.
They're stupid. I don't like that they have a discount. I don't think we should do anything about it.

Using bitcoin (a tool) for something you don't like is still *using bitcoin*. How on earth could Bitcoin affinity scam itself. That isn't what affinity means.
Ordinals is not bitcoin, it reads bitcoin inscriptions data.

Ordinals are a made up convention for looking at Bitcoin txns.
Inscriptions are the data packed into a txn's witnesses which are associated with sats tracked via the ordinanal convention.
If i download just Bitcoin core do i have ordinals?
Ordinals isn't a piece of software or a feature... It's a convention - think of it like a way to count. So yes, if you just download core and know the convention of ordinals you have everything you need to use ordinals and inscriptions
Traditional NFTs are both intellectually offensive and morally offensive.
Inscriptions are just intellectually offensive.
They aren't and won't crowd out financial txns.
The fee market is already perfectly designed to deal with them.
The reactions and proposals I'm hearing from the anti-inscription camp are a MUCH larger attack on Bitcoin than inscriptions could ever wish to be.

My limited understanding is Ordinals are just people with OCD (no direct impact on Bitcoin). Inscriptions are angst riddled teenagers putting graffiti on public infrastructure, hopefully they grow out of it and it doesn’t become popular amongst adults.
RGB is better for everyone. Anchored in bitcoin's security but with no on-chain bloat, locally verified smart contracts, no shitcoins, works over lightning or nostr, the list goes on https://rgb.info if people are pissed about ordinals, they should be promoting RGB to replace them because it's clearly better, cheaper, faster, and more flexible with better UX. NFT people will flock to it and abandon ordinals because ordinals are clunky, expensive, and difficult to use.
