I treat all people the same and differently as a matter of principle. Thomas Jefferson said something very profound nearly 200 years ago: "In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock."

I always adapt my vibe and style to whoever I'm talking to,

but never principles. For example, I would raise a boy and girl the same. I would raise a boy to be sensitive of other people's feelings and sociable. I would raise a girl to know how to think and do math and make responsible decisions. Every human needs to be the best they can be and able to handle every situation. You never know what may happen.
