Global feed is starting to look like it's trying to sort posts by timestamp and is struggling with the task. Jittery and I keep scrolling past the same few posts over and over.

Amethyst previously felt like it handled message sorting incredibly effectively. It could just be a natural result of more users on more relays.

I'm wary of any "group" or "collective" filtering solely because it can enable group campaigns to censor content that may not be spam.

I think Global right now is mostly uninteresting because it's filled with bots trying to get attention.

yep there is a lot of bots, i personally just report them for spam, a more nuanced report might be warranted
finding users we want to engage with should be the number 1 priority for nostr apps, as enagement on nostr is already its best feature, its far better here than twitter or reddit clearly because there is low lag and no gatekeeping
if we could click on the follows and followers of any user to view that as a feed would help find people, especially our own followers list
as well ranking follows, so we can run an algorithm on them to prioritize the best or put them in another list, this will also allow to see who other users like the most, making the best people easier to find
Personally I'm a huge fan of an unaltered Global. It reflects the world as it is: a constant stream of everything. Finding gold in Global isn't impossible, but the effort required to find it is proportionate to real life.
i am not sure how unfiltered unfiltered amethyst is but on other clients the feed rate is far too high, get to twitters rate and you will have to filter some way
