any tips for how to self-regulate after a stimulating event?

whenever i leave a social situation, the excitement i felt at being with people turns into nervous energy and restlessness that stays around for a few hours.

i don't know what to do to bring it down quicker. it's uncomfortable. i have a slight shiver. it's like having too much coffee.

Try taking a walk. Or drawing something.
