one thing that’s kinda obvious/annoying to me about nostr is there’s no way you know what youve missed because of a relay mis-sync
you just wont get messages and you wont even know you didn’t get them

there’s no obvious tell that its dropping messages, its a pretty silent failure case
relays sometimes return error messages but many clients don't show them to users. my relays return that info 'a user is rate limited' for example.
