Avala Tower, situated on Avala mountain in Belgrade, Serbia, stands as a testament to socialist modernism.

Designed by architects Uglješa Bogunović and Slobodan Janjić, with engineer Milan Krstić, the tower's construction began on 14 October 1961 and was completed in 1965.

The "Rad" construction company undertook the project. Tragically, a NATO bombing destroyed the tower in 1999. It was later reconstructed in 2010, preserving its iconic design.
