This is another game changer use case for Nostr.
Businesses can send messages to customers via encrypted p2p DMs using Nostr pubkeys 🤯
Nostr can stand in for email in this way.
Just a heads up, nostr dms are extremely not private.

Why do you say that
All the metadata on events is public. So anyone can see who is messaging with who, when they are messaging, and how often they are messaging. Of course, the content of the messages is encrypted but it’s still bad.
