Daily Roman History:
One of Republican Romes most frequent thorns, a Pontus King called Mithridates VI, was known as "The poison king" due to his microdosing of various poisons to build an immunity. Ultimately this would prove a bane as upon Rome's conquest of Pontus he tried to kill himself using a poison kept in his royal ring, however his immunity only caused pain and led to him being stabbed to death by his bodyguard.
