You can put start9 on your own hw. It worked for me. 🤙

I just did this a few weeks ago, works great! and easier than I thought. Refurb'd Optiplex micro + 4TB SSD
really wanted the server pure, but spending less than half on a refurb'd device and having more to stack was too good to pass up
