I think it’s partly that the dumbest shout the loudest, and partly that libertarian spaces attract conspiracy theorists who mistake contrarianism for intelligence and build their identity around rejecting anything that smells of mainstream (ego investment)
That's how the people in power are presenting this to you. Many conflicts stem more from geopolitics, economics, or power struggles than culture or religion. There are real political, economic, and ideological rivalries like US–China rivalry (economic power, technology, military influence), Russia–NATO tensions (especially after Ukraine), differing views on governance (liberal democracy vs. authoritarian or state-led systems which doesn't just include theocracies) and human rights debates/censorship/media freedom, etc.
