They have no idea what’s coming
Tell me why this is so awesome and game changing?
It’s not the dam breaking that I look for. That’s already happened. It’s the first leak in that dam that causes the inevitable. That’s what this is: the first leak.
I think the fact that people are even thinking about this is huge. We use Epic for almost everything, and their software is used by about half of all health systems. And it's shit. They just happen to be the best among far worse options. I'm interested in seeing if health systems are open to hosting their own relays for at least some applications. Likely to start with things like Dentists and therapists first though. Medical applications are a lot more complex.
Slowly then suddently...
Medical privacy, like privacy in general, is under threat in the United States, but I don't feel like jumping into a political debate.
Privacy is a human right. Medical privacy is no different.
Ok so it’s provider to patient securely in the patient channel without going through the data collection pipeline of the big health conglomerate

dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night," https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx_GEFik_Z0
