Rare take of the day: I love living in travel hostels.

Obviously isn't for everyone, and there are definitely downsides (difficult to build deep relationships as most people are just passing through, can feel crowded at times, etc.)

But if you're a natural people-watcher/studier like me, they offer so much psychological stimulation that it can be rather addicting. You get a constant flow of information on the different patterns humanity is going through on a global level.

I know that someday I'll get sick of it and finally settle into building out my own place with a family, but for now, I really crave that hyper-social atmosphere. It fits so well with my fascination with people, and observing how different societal segments are handling the craziness of the world.

Enjoy it while you can.

Just be careful not to leave settling down too late. I'm raising 2 kids 11 years apart, and being a younger parent has lots of benefits.

100%. Appreciate this input, I do think about this a lot. Once I find myself a lady, the calculus will change significantly
