Not gonna lie, pretty damn glad I setup my Lightning node and channels nicely at 1sat/vb, because transacting on-chain is so painful right now.
Hopefully this doesn't drive even more custodial LN adoption, though...

I sent a channel open TX Sunday night at 2 sat per vbyte, looked like it would confirm but it didn't. I used a single UTXO with no change. Not sure I can bump or what will happen if the TX falls out of mempool. Hope it cinfirms next weekend but that seems unlikely.
Depending on how you opened it it might be RBF and allow you to boost it, but the channel-open functionality is usually super basic, sadly...
I'm thinking more than likely it's going to end up falling out after 2 weeks. That is how I've always heard that it works but never personally experienced it. Let's hope that's the case!
True! But with low enough time preference we can still open at 1sat/vb. It’s not like opening channels can’t wait a few days
