Nostr clients are a commodity.

Nostr relays are a commodity.

Nostr software is open source.

Nostr events are public data.

People will only pay you for bringing all of these things together into a particularly useful combination *for them*.

People will Pay for what's scarce and Zap for what's not.

Scarce: Computing & Hosting

(the more niche or tailored to the individual / community, the scarcer)

Not Scarce: Anything that(s easy to copy

(content, general FOSS apps, ...)

Apps are a gateway to the Communties, DVMs, Mints, Relays, Servers, etc you can easily monetize.

Good apps facilitate #V4V zapping literally everything in their UI/UX (including the app itself).

Yup.

People or humanity aren't assimilated, yet.

A lot of things are commodity and are being sold for profit... But I agree if you want to charge premium you have to offer additional value.

People usually make money on commodities by dealing in scarcity (Bitcoin, diamonds, gold) or controlling the means of production or the source (durable goods), or some combination of the two. Or gambling with futures.

This is more difficult, when dealing with digital goods that can be easily replicated. Nostr-based goods have no natural scarcity. You have to create it, with privacy, authorization, or encryption (but this is also not long-lasting scarcity). Or the scarcity has to be in the human behind the digital good or the niche of humans to which you market the good.

Only real people are truly scarce, on Nostr, since each one is unique.
