One of the easiest ways to trigger your wife's attraction (her need for your attention) is to start ignorning her mundane or gossipy text messages. These messages are just ways for her to keep tabs on you, to ping you and make sure you are still her little lapdog, responding to as quickly as possible, whenever she needs an attention hit.

My wife texted me the other day "Fred and Wendy (Joe's brother) are getting divorced ☹️"

I met Fred once and did not like him. I don't really like Joe either - so why should I care? Why should I respond to this?

Leave her on "read" and go about your business - you have more important things to do than gossip with her. Deny her your attention and she will start to work harder to get your attention.
